Great apple pie and friendly atmosphere
Received a lovely warm country welcome from the ladies, after parking under some shady trees at the front. The apple pie with cream and cider ice cream was home made goodness. The large portion size makes it a meal in itself. So we shared between the family as an afternoon treat. The 100% apple juice is fresh with full flavour. It's definitely worth stopping in on the if you are traveling to Girraween NP or in the local Granite Belt area.
I really like Strawberry and consequently I was a little dubious how well Apple pies would taste in comparison, so as I sat down to try Sutton's famous apple pie I wondered what it would be like - well - OMG - it was de-licious ! - and brought back wonderful memories of my Grandma's traditional apple pie. If you want premium taste menu with fresh, locally grown produce, you can not go past Sutton's famous apple pies. Well worth a drive. Thumbs up with a big smile :)
A good variety of Apple Ciders there. Karen was most engaging and talked us through our taste-testing of each of the varieties of Apple blends. There are sweet Apple Pies, cookies with coffee or tea for the weary travellers.
Theres no savoury food on the menu that is kid friendly. We ended up eating dessert food for lunch because there wasnt much else. I watched another family walk out due to the limited menu. How hard is it to put a toasted sandwich on the menu??
